OUTREACH
CDTF is committed to providing educational opportunities so all have the chance to experience the art. Through strategic partnerships and motivated teaching artists, CDTF provides a variety of classes, workshops and events to experience the arts first hand.
BOYS EXPLORE DANCE
This program allows boys ages 5-10 to experience ballet for 15 weeks through a weekly class and rehearsal period. Similar to our typical Dance class, this one is just for the guys. We will use games and adventurous stories to focus their high energy and teach them about moving and rhythm, while allowing them to use their creativity and explore teamwork. During this time, they will experience basic dance class and choreography taught by a male instructor. To celebrate their hard work, they will perform in the current classical ballet production to show off what they have learned.

SCHOOLS TO STAGE
Children’s Dance Theater Foundation (CDTF) recognizes persistent disparities in representation and access within classical ballet. To address these inequities, CDTF delivers high-quality ballet instruction directly in local public schools, removing financial and logistical barriers and expanding opportunities for students who may not otherwise have access to dance education.
CDTF is committed to inclusive, culturally responsive programming that ensures all children particularly those from historically underrepresented communities can experience and participate in ballet. Through partnerships with the Puyallup Tribe of Indians Heritage Division and Chief Leschi School, CDTF expands access while fostering environments where students feel seen, respected, and empowered.
DANCE CHANCE SERIES
The Dance Chance Series is a community outreach initiative designed to make dance accessible, welcoming, and inspiring for dancers of all ages and experience levels. We are seeking passionate, creative dance educators to submit proposals for short-term classes, workshops, or movement experiences that invite new and underrepresented participants into the joy of dance.
